The AAMAS-07 organisers are delighted to announce a student scholarship scheme. The purpose of this scheme is to provide financial support for students with accepted papers at AAMAS-07, to enable them to travel to the conference. The message describes who is eligible for support and how to apply.
To be eligible for the scheme you must:
Our emphasis is on helping students who are first authors of full papers accepted for the main conference. Though lower in priority, to the extent that funds allow, we also hope to potentially provide support for student authors of poster papers, or of workshop papers. We particuarly encourage student scholarship applications from underrepresented regions.
No - sorry. We have limited funds, and students are our highest funding priority.
Please follow this link [closed] and complete the web-based application form [closed]. You will need to provide your participation details for AAMAS-07 as well as a pdf with a (scanned) letter certifying that you are indeed registered as a full time student. This letter should carry the letterhead of your institution, and must be signed by your supervisor/ thesis advisor. Email applications will not be accepted. The deadline for submitting AAMAS-07 student scholarship applications is
6 March 2007.
We will contact all applicants to let them know the outcome as soon as possible. (It would be helpful if you did not send any emails asking about the state of your application, as this just clogs up email in trays and slows the process down!). If an award is made, the final reimbursement request should bear the signature of this advisor.
We will first check eligibility. We anticipate different levels of funding based on geographic location (distance to conference venue, underrepresented regions), level of participation, etc. Our emphasis is on helping students who are first authors of full papers accepted for the main conference. Though lower in priority, to the extent that funds allow, we also hope to potentially provide support for student authors of poster papers, or of workshop papers..
